Can't go to Florida without visiting the Happiest Place on Earth!

We made it! Dakota finally got a pair of her own Mickey ears!

Cinderella's castle!
If you get to walk through the castle, you will notice gorgeous mosaics on the walls. Here is an example.
We stayed on property this time. We picked Disney's Pop Century Resort. It was loads of fun. We traveled through the decades, DUDE! I mean, we even saw the Where's the Beef lady from the 80's. Everything was larger than life!
Dakota and I had a picture taken together by her Aunt Jen. Don't mind the shine on my face. Summers are HOT in Florida!

Sanibel/Captiva

The lighthouse on Sanibel Island. As you can tell, it was a rainy day with no sun when we visited Sanibel.
A banana tree.
D leaning against a tree on the causeway.
Sanibel and Captiva Islands are beautiful. A must see in SW Florida.

At One with Nature

We went down to the Everglades for an airboat ride. We had an unexpected passenger on part of our ride!

This gator was so mad at us, he was growling!

Pretty view of the mangrove trees in the Everglades.

Going back to college...

On a recent trip to Florida, I went back to my old stomping grounds. Frank Lloyd Wright designed most of the campus. Of course things had changed, but the saddest part was the fact that our old sorority house was knocked down to make way for updated residence halls.

Summer has gone to the dogs...

You know it's summer when even the dog has on sun glasses! Here is our bathing beauty, Shelby, relaxing on the bed.
